You continue to treat your suspicions as facts but, for things you don't like, require the judgment of a court of law.

Yes, that's close enough. The Feds don't bring charges if there is no injury.


That is not how we do it in the US.

You area correct that we don't assume the person charged is guilty. But it's risible to suggest that we don't acknowledge that harm was done to the victim.
