I always liked the smell of sheets that had been dried outside on a cloths line.

And I remember there was a hose that went from the washer into a sink for drainage.

I grew up in Richmond California in the Bay Area.

It was paradise growing up in that part of the country.

The weather was so nice, I played sports after school every day until dark.

The best thing we had was a huge library Standard Oil had paid for I think. In the summer I would join the book club and Bobby Herr, my best friend and childhood mentor, and I would sit in the chairs in the kids section and read all afternoon.

Our favorite series were the OZ books. They had all 34 of them. I was about 9/10?

When we would get close to the library we would start running to try and get to the library first to see if there were any new one's and our second choice was "Freddie the Pig".

My daughter read all of the Freddie the Pig books to her kids.
