That photo you posted is from our sleepy international terminal. With modern fuel-efficient long-haul jets, much of the international passenger traffic between the US and Asia passes by directly overhead on the great circle route. Now our international air traffic is mainly air cargo flights stopping in to refuel.

Traffic through our domestic terminal is expected to pick up this summer, as vaccinated people come out of isolation. Here's a departure I snapped recently at sunset...
