All of history everywhere was such alpha male, tribal, territorial, genocidal, conquering Malthusian solution to the propensity of people to reproduce prolifically.
In the last couple of millennia and especially the last 50 years there have been improvements.
But the male gene pool shows the intense genocidal territorial rapid results. Female DNA is vastly more geographically spread,,(females and territory being the prize of winning). Female DNA is also 4 times as slowly eliminated.
Our son Tarken was named after Tarkan, a Turkish cartoon character by Sezgin Burak in Istanbul in the early 1970s. We met the Burak family in 1974 in Istanbul.
We have a book by Sezgin showing Tarkan riding his horse with his wolf running alongside, far to the east to fight the evil Chinese and rescue the damsel. It's written in Turk so I can only read the pictures.
46 years ago I was unaware that even then and 50 years in the future jihad and tribal wars would still be so problematic. I had never paid much attention to history as it was all in the past. To me, my father, my grandfather Winn, the future would become the present with the past being an irrelevance to what's the best thing to do now.
Now I have Maori, Chinese, English Irish, Welsh, French, whatnot, hybrid grandchildren. We have affiliation with Turkey and Japan, Germany, USA, Canada. Who should fight whom?

Self aggrandizing politicians such as those planning to conquer Taiwan, Russia, Crimea, Syria, Hong Kong, Catalan, here and there are the main problem.
Some places such as Hawaii, Crimea, Aotearoa-Zimbabwe, Alsace, Wales, have been so long conquered/annexed/amalgamated that there's no good reason to try to rewind the clock. Brexit escape, Scotland independence, Irish amalgamation, Norfolk Island freedom, might make sense. And Brevity is a done deal. Taiwan and Brexit, Hong Kong, and other freedom loving places could form a lovely federation of VVV and Tradable Citizenship, along with Greece and anyone else who cares to join.
Meanwhile, down with the Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere of totalitarian kleptocratic authoritarianism.
