Why not San Antonio?

By relocating Zenith headquarters and Technical Center from Chicago to San Antonio and moving the Melrose picture tube plant to Tamaulipas or Chihuahua, Mexico, every Zenith employee will be no more than a drive away from any Zenith plant.

Presently, with the exception of picture tubes, Zenith manufacturers all its products in various Mexican towns (all near the Texas border).

Also, it appears to make no sense for Zenith to have a separate distribution center in Ontario, CA. Fort Worth (DFW) appears sufficient.

By moving to Texas, Zenith could reduce its payroll by approximately 50% (relying on more affordable Mexican labor, the most cost-effective in the world, according to several reports) and its travel costs by about 80% (travel costs normally are the third largest corporate expense).

Besides, aren't these world-class engineers and other key employees getting tired of the bleak Chicago winters?
