Hi El, It looks like the USA could well be the next Iran when it comes to passing through the Bering Straights and Bering Sea. Kodiak Island has the largest Coast Guard facility in the US. Located near the Alaskan Peninsula just before they become the Aleutian islands. Could easily become a naval base and the mothballed Air Force bases are everywhere in that region. We could have the choke hold on commerce! Nothing to worry about there! Bob
