Gary,

As a further follow up to your message regarding ASND gaining mkt share in ATM at the expense of NN, I posted NN's press release today and noted the following:

"Revenue for the Company's ATM products is expected to reach record levels again in the third quarter of fiscal 1998. This
will be the ninth consecutive record quarter for ATM revenue. Order intake for ATM equipment, driven principally by the
MainStreetXpress(TM) 36170 Multiservices Switch, is expected to more than double the level achieved in the corresponding
quarter last year. The Company's wide area network (WAN) packet business represented more than 50% of total revenue,
up from 45% in the previous quarter."

Estimated total revenues for this qtr are approximately $360 million (CD) and therefore WAN revenues will be in the range of $180 million. However WAN revenues appear to be down sequentially as previous qtr total revenues was $432 million(CD) representing $195 million (CD)in WAN sales(a 7.5% sequential decline).

From behind the numbers, it appears that NN is indeed losing market share in this lucrative area, and hopefully ASND can capitalize on this opportunity.
