That's just not true. There was nothing "righteous" about it. A cop just cannot shoot someone who is not a threat to anyone, and she, de facto, was not -- unless you envisage some kind of hand-to-hand combat situation between her and a guy with a gun standing at point-blank range with the gun in her face.

It is bizarre to me that you have flipped so radically that you would see the murder of this woman as acceptable.
