What makes you think that Pelosi is in charge of the insurrection investigation? Or of anything having to do with criminal justice or national security? She's a legislator. That stuff occurs in the Executive Branch.

As for national security, I suppose it wasn't a national security matter in 1812, either, the last time the Capitol was attacked. Hmmmm.
