Given that, for the previous five years, you never once understood anything Trump or his supporters believed, what in hell makes you think you know what their objectives were on Jan 6? I did not just fall off the turnip truck. What Trump believed is that he not only had a divine right to the presidency but that he actually won said second term, that he was entitled to a second term. He also believed that the executive is all-powerful and he had the authority to do whatever he wanted, to override anything. He believed that he could pull never-used levers and will said second term. Trump supporters believed Trump, believed in Trump, and believed he was calling them to loyally help produce for him to a second term. I'm not mistaken about any of those. If I am, it would be the one where he believed that he actually won. You spent five years in a fog of media created confusion. Neither did the media just fall off the turnip truck.
