It was downloaded directly from Microsoft using the Chinese key.

The Chinese purchase confirmation only included the key. There was no link to a specific download site. I had to find the official MS Office 2019 download site using Google.

I have been using Outlook, Word and Excel on the new computer so far without any problem.

Toes and fingers crossed that it will remain this way.
