It is a question of necessity to guarantee security. It should be intuitively obvious, even to you, that both MLB and voting creates a security dilemma, I.e., how do you do it without driving away the target audience. MLB, Ticketmaster, NFL, NBA, and tons of smaller venues, handle it, virtually ALL requiring a picture ID.

More importantly, you can’t even drive a car without one.

Why do you think that is? And why should not voting require at least the minimum level of ID as ticketed events?
