When I was an appraiser we went computerized appraisals in 89. Then you paid 7 grand for the software and about 200 a month for data updates, like prices and new models. Then they got smart, they created a new product, a subscription based program that would turn itself off after 30 days it you didn't install the latest data update. The cost was around 550 a month.

They sure knew how to rake in the big bucks.

I am still using Photoshop CS 5 ( I bought Photoshop 4 in 97, and upgraded every 2 years) on my computers and it still works, no way I am buying Photoshop CC that is a monthly plan. Subscriptions suck.
