Masks dont stop viruses. The rest of your post i agree with
Not to try to change anyone’s mind, but... it’s true that cloth masks and almost all procedure-type masks - as generally used by the public - are useless. Even when they’re of decent quality, they’re almost always poorly fitted. “Foggy eyeglasses” are the hallmark of masking for show only, as demanded by our rulers. The air simply travels around all those masks.

This is also the reason that large population mask studies, like the Danish one - show their uselessness.

Good quality, well fitted N95 masks are effective. I don’t have any studies handy, but that’s the reason very few infections have been acquired inside airplanes. The problem with those masks is that they’re very uncomfortable and make it hard to breath. Good for short periods of time. After that, all normal people switch back to useless crap.

So, yes, generally you’re right. But, not WRT a Uber driver, taking a CoViD patient to a hospital. That driver should have a good N95 mask - for the ride. JMHO.
