Because of Covid, which I view as a legitimate expense under Trump but not under Biden. Biden used it as a way to create a slush fund, at once, and continues to do so.

But deficits go up. That's what they do. We have known for ten years that at this point we would have Trillion dollar deficits "as far as the eye can see". This isn't Trump blowing money. It IS Biden blowing money.

I would prefer a lot of the money wasted on Covid not have been. And some was Trump -- for example, the ridiculous focus on building ventilators, was stupid of Trump. At the same time, the focus on masks which clearly are not useful (other than N95), was dumb outside of medical facilities.

But let's be clear: Trump was spending billions. Biden is spending trillions. It is a different thing.
