By Democrat I mean a person who tends to vote for Democrats. It doesn't mean one might not (as I sometimes do) vary outside one's personal norm.

My position is staked on personal freedom and economics. That's my "culture" war. But I pretty consistently find the Republican positions are less disgusting than are Democrat positions.

I do appreciate that your commitment to voting Democrat is apt to be determined based on different criteria than those I apply to my personal decision process.
