Yikes! I probably should have better thought through my application to volunteer as moderator but now it's too late to delete my post. Since it appears to be SI's express policy to ban political jokes because SI deems them too divisive, my mostly hands-off style of moderating wouldn't be aligned and I can foresee that I would have to field demands from readers asking why I'm not enforcing those TOS. I'm withdrawing my application.
