I am an economist by education.
When I seriously learned about MMT it was like shock - my world around me started spinning and I had full impression that I standing on my head - it was so opposite to the traditional theory that it was just stunning.
After serious thinking, I realized that MMT is mostly true.
The real danger is not that politicians (left or right) will follow MMT (it's not that easy), but that they will use MMT as a perfect excuse for printing money beyond any limits prescribed by theory.
