BEV are not as green as many think. The reason is simple;

1. Most electricity is generated or by coal or NG both CO2 and NOx polluters (coal much worse).
2. More so coal ash is radioactivbe in most cases https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/coal-ash-is-more-radioactive-than-nuclear-waste/
3. The extraction of the material composing the BEV car batteries is very polluting.
4. The pollution resulting from the EOL of the battery after an average of 7 years is also not counted in the general assumptions.
5. Increasing the load of the national electrical network is performed with an increased gauge of electrical wires - the extraction and refining of the electrical conductors are also very polluting.

Conclusion; - BEV are not as clean as many think. to arrive at an adequate value of GHG emissions from producing BEV batteries and handling them at EOL plus increased electricity consumption and increased electrical network load must be properly taken into account, which presently is NOT !!!.
