paul..i thought you knew..I only execute a covered call strategy. you buy protective puts and upstrike calls some times. but ..there isn't any bets. it's a lock profit. no where have I ever recommended naked options. in fact repeatedly, when ask ..my response has been talk to mb on naked options. I only discuss covered calls strategy. and DO NOT RECOMMEND NAKED OPTIONS....SOUNDS LIKE THAT IS YOUR POSITION TOO.. I haven't rec'd any directions on naked options. Even when I knew the day in '87,90,94... I didn't buy puts becasue I rec'd no instructions to buy puts. I guest you didn't buy the puts of cpq that this thread was recommending...but not me. I gave a post yesterday to Joe. it is the key to the when up and down on CPQ...find it.
