Where do you plan to live during the winter when it is so cold in WI? I read loads of NY hedge fundies are moving to FL for the tax savings, politics and better weather (guess hot summers don't bother them) which is making prices soar there too. IF Biden raises the capital gains tax for over $1M to the max and keeps the ACA premium then you add in CA's 13.3% tax on over $1M... many in CA won't sell our homes as more than half the PROCEEDS could go to taxes for those with a low enough cost basis. Maybe donating to charity and getting 4% a year back would make a ton of sense... if they still allow that. There is going to be a lot of squirming for sure.
