I promise not to bore this thread with constant references to RMIL, but , Ditchdigger is an example of what longs contend with in 'sharing' analysis of an 'undeclared' short position.
i.e.;
RMIL NUMBERS

---------------------------------------------
11,584,750 Escrow for RMCW merger
900,000 Insider 144 and restricted shares
2,171,081 Total public float (Estimated)
14,655,831 Total Outstanding Shares

3,112,172 Reported shares held
(941,091) Estimated shorts on list

2,637,087 Reported RMIL Shares Called
1,877,186 Received Shares in name form
293,895 Public shares left
759,901 Reported Pending delivery
(466,006) Amount over float requested

418,120 IRA
3,055,207 Total Called & IRA

526 Total Shareholders
230 On this list (approx)
296 Missing shareholders

13,531 Average shares owned

4,005,230 Estimated missing shares
3,112,172 Actual Shares Owned
7,117,402 Estimated shares in RMIl market

(4,946,321) Total Estimated Short Position
_____________________________________________________
If there was a 'better' way of achieving the TOTAL ESTIMATED SHORT POSITION, I would be very enthusiastic in knowing.
More 'concrete' evidence than the numbers here that a large short position exists, is the presence of brokers, MM's, shareshakers on a thread of a BB stock that currently isn't even trading!
I hope this post is 'relevant' to MM's shorting BB stocks.
