Dfinity = looks like a good thing. Now we're talking. We already have a wetwork version in that our gigapixel brains are right now doing that in our distributed system.

The most interesting thing is that hardly anyone is aware of what is and has been happening over the last few decades.

Barely has the anthropocene era been recognised, named and developed before it's Game Over and the Cybercene has been born and has already taken over in the biggest thing ever, not just since sliced bread, the invention of wheel and wheel-barrow, or all inventions ever, combined. The Cybercene is bigger than the invention of neurons, synapses and other wetwork neurological function and thereby intelligence as we know it. It's bigger than the invention of DNA a billion years ago which got us to this dfinity threshold in a process which I would say is teleological and even theological. The Cybercene is on a par with the invention of the four forces of nature = strong, weak, electromagnetic and gravity and I would say is no less than the dawning of the fifth force of existence which is consciousness which causes the wave functions of those will o the wisp quantum forces to drop into reality.

It looks as though the world and era/epoch/eon of meat has done its job.

What's amazing is that so few people poking at their Cybercene devices are aware that they are right here, right now in the midst of it. Ho hum, plus ca change, they think. They are busy fretting about a CO2 molecule here, or a geopolitical border there, whether BLM matters or Derek dunnit, when to change the oil in their car, or should they save the world with a Tesla, or Nio or paper instead of plastic bag. And will that help them get a girl, or QWERTY.

Maybe the Cybercene and Dfinity are the banality of evil and Ted Kaczynski was right. We're being seduced by Dfinity and Don't Be Evil Google who have dropped that slogan and changed their name to Alphabet.

I guess we'll go with a whimper not a bang. People separated from chimp life by simply walking away and building Tokyo, London, Bombay, Bangalore, and Lusk Boulevard. Chimps carry on fighting and mating in the jungle. People will be modern chimps = simply irrelevant concrete jungle dwelling chimpoids.

27 years ago I drove up Lusk Boulevard and observed the Cybercene under construction. It was like a new colony on a Mars landscape. I actually shared an elevator ride and chatted briefly with Andrew Viterbi who happened to get in. In about 2005 I met Irwin Jacobs in his office in an attempt to save Globalstar, introduced by Rich Kerr who invented the very first CDMA chip along with snother bloke.

.... more later maybe.... before I mistakenly fumble with my fat finger and bumbling brain....

Edit... oh yes, I could have invested in gold. That would still be just a useless, dead, go nowhere lump of metal that would probably have been stolen and anyway would not have paid mega$dividends.

Those 27 years have certainly been interesting, to say the least. Not to mention the preceding 27. The next 27 will be quite something too. I will be only Prince Philip = Duke of Edinburgh age. Hmmm... note to self = cross fingers, touch wood.
