Hi UE,

We have to have a cell phone as well. They send a text with your confirmation number. Got our Pfizer shots on Friday. A bit sore at the injection site, couldn't sleep on that side but the pain was gone by Saturday night so slept better being able to switch sides. I registered for follow up surveys to monitor for side effects. I'll be sent the first survey nine days after the jab.

Apparently it takes a couple of weeks for immunity to build and then we plan on getting together with our best friends who got theirs two weeks ago, somewhere outdoors so we don't bother others too much, and spend the first five minutes hugging. I was never much of a huggy feely kinda guy but after more than a year without I'm ready. Wife doesn't count hahaha. We'll have to wait longer to hug kids and grands though, they haven't been granted the right to vaccinate yet due to their ages.

Still need to distance and put on a mask when in proximity but we do feel safer and are looking forward to the second shot in August. With the feds ordering up another 60 million plus shots for next year and the one after it sure sounds like annual boosters going forward. Maybe all the anti vaxxers will win the Darwin Award and the rest of us can get herd immunity going.
