"...in lamps with scarves tossed over them in a carefree and youthful manner.." The only time I ever tried this was when I was eighteen, at my girlfriend's house. Never again. Said scarf was most regrettably not the flame retardant type, and it completely ruined a perfectly good assignation. Though my girlfriend's sister had a laugh or two over the issue of just how we had managed to smoke up the basement so badly.
