When you examine the total movement of ADSL stocks today,
it is DOWN. Reasons?:

1) Investors don't understand the connection between DMT
and Alcatel/AMTX.

2) The RFP is an indication that ADSL is a little bit further out
in the future than the WSTL trials would have you believe.

Given that there is no other strong competition for xDSL, I view
this as a very good thing--more time to accumulate on dips. However,
any more delays in rollout (past end of '97) will really put
the investment community off. Why arent the ISP's moving faster
on this, since the RBOC's arent? Too much up-front investment?
