Jack, Outside of this thread, I have heard no discussion of price cuts on boxes in general and servers in particular. The server market has especially fat margins and there is a lot of room to lower prices in a grab for market share. The other fact is that thin client computing is becoming a reality and these servers look awfully richly priced compared to their "slaves." Even the dim bulbs in purchasing may notice this discrepancy. -g- MB (a former dim bulb in purchasing and materiel sales, from 20 years back)
