Thanks Graustus. Haven't been doing a good job of keeping up here. Two deaths in the family, one quite unexpected, and then my sister, 69, got an early onset alzheimers diagnosis from Johns Hopkins. That wasn't totally unexpected by anyone who knows her, but tough all the same.
Pulled my horns in and sold some stocks while I didn't have time to watch. Then my youngest brought me back to center, telling me I will be a grandpa again, come October, if all goes well.
Reminded me that the only real goal I have left is to set my grandkids up financially. Everything else is gravy.
Looking back, I banked $60k on ENPH last year. Not half that much this year, although I have traded quite a few shares. Imho, there is a buying opportunity here, or close by, with their business constrained by the chip shortage. When it is over, and may be 2022, I expect they will have a few blowout quarters.
I'm sure I have more losers than many could tolerate, but I chalk it up to part of the game, although I get pretty peeved at myself when I feel the losses were to large for the situation.
Trying to get better at compounding up in the early going. Sometimes it works. Lol!
If I count right, I have sold all or parts of 91 stocks so far this year. 44 were losers. Funny, MPC, a stock I originally bought for the dividend, my biggest loss taken so far this year..
A person only needs one great stock or a few really good stocks a year to make a difference. This year so far, I had one great, SAVA, and a few really good. Wringing out some here with ENPH down 26% since year end.
