COVID-19 is a vascular disease according to a recent study. If this proves out, the implications are dire. Apparently, the spike proteins are the problem. They damage blood vessel linings and are the likely culprit in the clotting. The thing is, this is probably what is behind the long-haulers in that even a "mild" case can leave you with organ damage. Correction, any case will leave you with organ damage, some of which may be long term, even permanent. So for those who believe it is "just" another flu or that your either recover completely or die, well...

This is bad ju ju. I mean, really bad. It also is bad news for those who hope it will mutate into a less virulent form. So what? It isn't the disease, it is the spike proteins. And there is nothing that drives evolution to lessen the impact of that. Ditto with natural herd immunity.
