| | | Hey, I don't WANT to compromise on it. It's just such a wedge issue. Obviously, as a woman, and a woman with daughters, I'd like abortion to always be safe, legal and rare- EVERYWHERE. Because a woman who chooses abortion has thought about it. It's not like an impulse perfume purchase. And the sperm donors of the world really shouldn't be able to hijack women's bodies just because they think what comes out of a phallus is of utmost importance (because it will never affect the dick holders- just the womb owners.)
But there are a lot of people only in the republican party because of that stupid issue. And when I think of the harm the GOP does- the harm to children, the harm to the poor, the harm to the environment, the harm to international relations, the harm to education, the harm to our social structures, the harm to workplace safety and to workers in general- would I compromise? Yes, I would. The GOP has become the fascist party of shitty fucking ideas- and pretty much anything is better than having that party in charge again, until they manage to drive the fascism out of their party- if that's even possible. |
