Which is why the United States is not a Democracy... but a Republic. That is tired and trite and just make believe.. on person one vote.. democracy .. PERIOD... The devil is in how the votes are parsed.. you elect folks to congress.. we to parliament.. In Canada you can have a parliamentary majority with only 43% of vote ... Mob Rule LOL HARDLY .. In fact the US is far more mob rule than say Canada.. You guys have propositions for all kinds of things.. (refernda) that is EXACTLY mob rule.. by your own definition .. We up here in parliamentarian land have almost NO referenda.. separation wrt Quebec and a few constitutional amendments in my life.. in number we do not rate.. with you guys on mob rule... You are playing word games on that one .. false equivalency You guys call US a democracy and yourselves a republic LOL.. take a long hard look in the mirror.. You call us a democracy .. we MUCH further away from mob rule than your current two party system can ever achieve.. Always fun to hear that argument.. it is a caricature also
