To defend his position and call into question the safety of Covid-19 vaccines, Johnson cited numbers from the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), which allows anyone to submit a report. Johnson said that according to the system, "we're over 3000 deaths after within 30 days of taking the vaccine," suggesting these deaths were tied to Covid-19 vaccines.

It was not Johnson's suggestion, it was an implication drawn based on a government operated database that tracks problems with vaccines. What I saw in that post is that we have this database reporting thousands of deaths and that it would be malfeasance to ignore it. He carefully qualified his remarks to point out

I fully agree with him on this. I took the vaccine, I would again, but it is important to keep in mind it has not received the extensive testing vaccines have in the past. Parents of small children need to be particularly careful about dragging them into it.

I would not knock the content of these database. It is important to have a system for self-reporting and it is the job of government to analyze these ostensible failures and determine the context and importance in a non-political way.

Unfortunately, we have Biden as president and there is nothing happening with him that is nonpolitical.
