My argument wasn't for doing away with the death penalty but if someone is going to work on the rehabilitation of inmates.. I'll pay her/his upkeep for life. Few people in the system actually work on rehab'ing prisoners..warden doesn't, guards don't, psychogist don't, councilers don't,parole board doesn't, legislators don't, Governer doesn't....Karla does!!!!!!.....Karla and some like her including the chaplains I know there are the only ones rehab'ing inmates. I'm willing to pay room and board for anyone that will truely rehab inmates. didn't say set her free, clemency of Karla has been miscommunicated by the contra side. Karla would not be released in 2003... she would be in prison for life.....since that would be a condition that Bush puts into conversion of sentence. Bush isn't going to leave out that condition. So, my argument was not that Christian conversion absolves you from the punishment...those are two dif things... it was for if nothing else.. a free worker for life that cares about rehab'ing inmates since few in the process rehab inmates and killing someone who is a postive for that doesn't make sense.
