>> Once around 4th of July.

IN the summer of 1979 or 1980, we spent about 10 days in Houston hanging with my friend during late June & early July, and it was hot as hell. I think that was a record here.

When we got back to Dallas, I had to make a business trip out to Denver for a day, and I got in late that night and my wife had put fans in every window. Our AC was out (this was on a Friday). Man, it was hot. I believe that day it had hit something like 113. I got up bright and early on Saturday and went and found us a condenser fan motor for the AC unit so we could have air that weekend.

Man, that week was hot in Dallas...even with AC...
