| | | Thank you, it also has the good fortune of doubling in price within a few years of my buying it in 2004. If only all of my watch buys worked out that way! I got really lucky with this one, was living in Thailand at the time and they had mostly dried up at the ADs. So I put a WTB post on a watch site and luckily got a hit. A deal was made but it was shipped home and I was in Thailand for 6 months. So I asked my dad to inspect the watch, he wasn't a watch guy but had a good eye for mechanics, and he has it running and is looking at it, and he says on the phone, oh my, this is a really nice watch! He liked some of my timepieces before and since then but that's the only time he used those terms. It was very amusing for me.
I own two other Lange as well, after owning others in the past, will have to post them sometime. One is a keeper and as special to me as the Anniversary. The other is lovely although I never wear and want to sell. Bought for the wrong reasons but not a bad investment compared to a bank CD. |
