The one that got away. Girard Perregaux made a Ferrari themed perpetual calendar chronograph with their famous three bridges tourbillon in the back. When I started collecting, tourbillon was a French word meaning, "too-beyond" my budget for buying. Luckily circumstances quickly changed in my favor. But in the mid 2000s I saw this used watch and waited a good 6-8 weeks then it sold. Think the ask was $75k. At the time it was a big reach for me but I could have afforded it and it's a miss that always annoys me. At the time I was too focused on resale value which I presumed to be poor. I honestly don't know what its resale value presuming there are many satisfied owners. If you see one of these priced under $90k please let me know! ;-)
