Right. Yes, a couple of people committed violence. Out of a crowd of thousands.

>> Foy's accused of beating police in head & neck w/ hockey stick

That sounds terrible. OF course, the vastly overstated charges:

"Civil Disorder; Obstruction of an Official Proceeding; Assaulting, Resisting, or Impeding Certain Officers Using a Dangerous Weapon; Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds with a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon; Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds; Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds; Act of Physical Violence in the Capitol Grounds or Buildings"

will, in the end, likely be reduced to a harmless act of resistance against an officer with a hockey stick.

I'm not diminishing the incident itself, but contrasted with the stuff you approve of -- rioting, looting, resisting arrest -- sometimes involving actual weapons -- it really isn't much.

As I've explained a few will undoubtedly get the book thrown at them for their roles, but no one was hurt, no one killed or seriously injured, and that is apt to come out at trial.

Oh, except for the murder of Ashli Babbitt, who will not receive any justice at all.
