OT - Functional medicine ifm.org A lot more emphasis is put on nutrition, lifestyle and addressing the underlying issues if possible w/those kinds of changes first, vs just writing a prescription which many doctors are quick to do. The doctors that have helped me the most over the years have all been functional medicine practitioners. One of my meds is LDN. It's an off label use for the drug, has very few side effects but achieves many of the same results as the drugs you see on TV that massively suppress your immune system and leave you open to cancer and all sorts of bad things. This keeps most of my immune system intact. Never met a non-functional medicine doctor that knew LDN. LD stands for low dose.
