but the problem I see is that if you look at a lot of Mr. Trump's base for example.. they are blatant racists.. how do you explain that away ? I get that many of you RW GOP chaps here are of a Libertarian bent.. I am OK with that.. I follow a lot of Libertarian ideals... ironically Liberals should be at that forefront :( Thre are sticky wickets though like abortion ... Libertarian despite not liking it needs accept it no ? I do not like it.. but not my call... you guys though are not the entire base ... Yes as a kid I recall George Wallace and a raft of southern racist democrats... appears many became republicans ? I grew up in the fabulous 60s and disco tainted revived by new wave and punk 70s :) Civil rights demonstrations and the Vietnam war were the two biggest shows on tv !!! I cannot tell you how popular King's I Have a Dream was in Canadian schools a a choice for speech class... it was HUGE ! at least in Quebec where I grew up.. and that had a huge French Majority .. I think they related very well... one example of why .. at 17 I without saying I could speak French (winch I can fairly comprehensively) could easily get a retail job in a major department store in DT Montreal.. if you only spoke French u were SOL.. Yet it is a French province ... of course that was 48 years ago... now English folks bitch bitch bitch LOL My experience is that gov services are quite excellent in English if you need English ... I don't.. but test it occasionally for my mom whose French is not that great.. example II.. Bob Furman likes Mr. Trump a lot .. I do not.. but I think Bob is one of the straightest shooters on SI plus he loves gardening .. what is not to like :) I consider him a pal.. politics really sucks :)
