It is true that stock in STREET name can be used to short. It's moot though because they can just as well short stock that doesn't even exist. It's practically the same process from what little I understand. The calling of certs only works to force covering of illegal shorting when it forces the MM's to deliver a certificate. This won't happen unless every single shareholder calls for the certs.

Again, naked shorting, which is the only type of shorting that can occur in the OTC/BB market, is illegal. It involves the fabrication of shares out of the blue or the misuse of shares in STREET name.

We don't need to worry about this type of shorting, which I feel has obviously been done with MIDL and likely MIDLW. Why? Because the natural value of this stock is so tremendous that natural market forces will intervene and...
