Frank Ianna, AT&T's executive VP confirmed AT&T plans to buy 112 of ASCENDS CBX 500 Multiservice ATM Backbone switches plus 50 B-STDX 9000 edge switches with IP interfaces this year. also from -> "New Devices could ease Net bottlenecks" article. also Ascend is expected to roll out VOICE-over-IP and SS7 support in the first quarter. Ascend claims by putting SS7 technology in the MAX family phones companies could by these, instead of Telephone switches at a tenth the cost and get both VOICE and Data traffic together with these smart access concentrators. sounds like momentum is swinging our way finally, so NN can be the new dogmeat net stock to own. {Posted for jaba-da-but]
