For example if you intend to go from San Francisco to Minneapolis by train you dont get off in Colorado, but rather wait till the train reaches Minnesota first! On the other hand if your final destination is Minneapolis but the train goes all the way to Montreal Canada you definitely want to get off in Minneapolis and do not continue your travel to Montreal (unless of course you want to extend your trip and visit Canada also)!
