That is seriously hilarious.
Every Tom, Dick and Harriet who took even minimal pains to track the story knows about the State Dep't cable warning that the Wuhan Virology Lab, which we funded, had serious security issues. The cable was written well before the pandemic struck.
And Fauci is not every Tom, Dick and Harriet. He was our COVID czar.
How could he not know that Trump ordered NIH not to fund the non-profit that was funneling funds to China for virology research - in unsecure labs.
Why does he think he can get away with such BS?
More important, why wasn't there a quick response to the cable? Why was it ignored?

Scientists, the State Dep't, etc., all warning about the problems in China. So what do we do? Fund the freakin' lab.
The real culprit is Daszak. We were stupid, the Chinese were inept, but Daszak is evil personified.
