Brunel made a vacuum track in 1847 but it only lasted less than a year as rats kept eating the leather that was used as a seal.

Atmospheric Railway - Isambard Kingdom Brunel (ikbrunel.org.uk)

I think one of the best advantages of a complete vacuum line is that freight can be moved with the efficiency of an aircraft at 40k feet, but with a much lower technology cost. Huge energy savings.

I think it would be best located underground and integrated with existing container technology. Like four pods being able to go inside a standard container or whatever.

Just like the original rail network, passenger services can then be developed. It will take huge pressure off the existing road network. Large axel weight is the biggest factor wearing out the road network.

We should just get one with it imho. No point dithering.
