Just curious, at what level of oxygen do you feel something is amiss, or you are winded, or something?
Not sure but I think the standard for normal is about 95 % or above, too low imo.
Another thing I did not mention about a PE, it damages your lungs, and it is mostly not reversible, least as best I know. Pulmonary Infarctions, tissue death due to lack of blood. Luckily our lungs have quite a bit of excess capacity.
I have had too many PE's. Still have symptoms and pain from my last one, over two years ago. Due I assume to infarctions. Probably always have it. It comes and goes.
I am back to when I am rested I am at 99 %, usually. Took a long time. But if I go up one flight of stairs I drop noticeably.
When I had my first PE I don't recall the Dr. used one of these, my diagnosis took way too long. Someone told me I should have sued, but she was nice and nice looking too. Now a days you go in and the first thing they do is hang one of these on your finger.
