There was a clue. Did anyone else see it?

On the EDGAR server, Cheyenne filed a document last week which included "Change in Control" agreements. Basically, any Cheyenne employee with an employment contract executed this additional agreement which basically said that if Cheyenne were to change control, the employee and employer would still have to honor the contract.

So looking at it with 20/20 hindsight, they were planning for a change in control.
