My thymes (the regular ones) are taking over my backyard. Even the mints cannot compete with them! The golden thyme is much better behaving with lower lying and nicer creeping habits. The golden thyme is spreading, but only at a fraction of the speed of the regular thyme. The picture below is not mine (seeing how my foot is crippled for now to go and shoot photos) But the effect is similar.

We must have a disconnect here. *All* grafting success is dependent on lining up the cambium and joining them together. That is where the cells that make the bonding reside. It is also how the nutrition flows to the scion. Cambium misalignment = failure.

Cambium, plural Cambiums, or Cambia, in plants, layer of actively dividing cells between xylem (wood) and phloem (bast) tissues that is responsible for the secondary growth of stems and roots (secondary growth occurs after the first season and results in increase in thickness).

I suspect what you tried to do was to graft one limb on another...BTW, they now have a device for that that crimps the two branches in tight fitting tongue and groove shapes to improve the success rate...I don't do this enough to need one.

>> Have you tried native Pawpaws

No :( And I've been wanting to. But it is not as if you can buy them in a store and I don't know of any trees in the GTA area that I could go pick from. I do however know of Cornelian Cherries nearby that are great for picking...that is if you like sweet and sour tastes.

>> looks like the Ryzen 5 is easier to get than 3...

I've been forced to postpone my PC purchase till the end of summer when supplies should meet demand. If the crypto crash continues, you may see a glut of used PCs hitting the market (and with it force NVDA and the rest of lower prices).
