Well, it is a real conundrum for me, in that there are so many people (mostly family, but not all) for whom there is really not another avenue to stay in touch.

Facebook serves a useful purpose, but it is hard to do.

Today I posted something about this Facebook transgression by Zuckerberg. As I usually do on such matters, I linked his public user ID, and as usual, thought for an instant, "That could get me cancelled on Facebook."

So, I'm not sure if I have a Facebook death wish or something lol.

I did finally walk away from Twitter, but it is such a cesspool the force was weak. Because I know many on FB, it is more difficult.

I did start changing to a different, more open platform (MeWe?) and quickly confirmed the "network effect" (which makes it difficult to create competition) is a real thing. Besides my wife, one other person I knew was over there.

Only a sea change -- like from MySpace to Facebook -- will allow Facebook to die.
