I have lurked from afar at FBN but, regretfully, have never made it to the secret clubhouse where you have all those fabulous parties to celebrate every occasion and no occasion. You all are to be celebrated for your many contributions to FBN, a truly splendid up and coming Y2K company which has yet to meet its equal.
In reading ahead a few posts, I see queries as to the origin of the word "cocktail." My best information is that merry quaffers in the days of old would place the tail of a cock in their libations, as decoration--perhaps a forerunner to our paper umbrellas. However, if Miss Penni should return with different information, I shall defer to her reasearch into this subject of paramount concern.
I see it nears the hours which near the cocktail hour. Please, do come in and make yourself at home. Ah, she does have some! I knew she would! Would you like it on the rocks? And with a twist?

p.s. Does anyone know why my browser's back button doesn't work with the SI preview screen? I'm using Netscape 2.01.
