Re: Lowe's raises dividend by 33% to $0.80

Lowe's (NYSE: LOW) declares $0.80/share quarterly dividend, 33.3% increase from prior dividend of $0.60.

Forward yield 1.65%

Payable Aug. 4; for shareholders of record July 21; ex-div July 20.

When applying the dividend growth strategy to an investment, anytime a company announces a 10% or more increase in the dividend, that company gets added to as quickly as possible. You are not only getting a 33% raise on what you own but you are getting new shares that pay a dividend and you'll get a 33% raise on those well.
